My School - My Village - My Planet
I urge EVERYONE who has been posting about boycotting - and actually boycotting - Woolworths to read this attached plea from My School, My Village, My Planet program.
I know of _at_least_ one organisation that benefits from this program every month. Calling for a boycott of an organisation in an economy with ~45% real unemployment is absolute insanity - and t
his herd mentality needs to be stopped in its tracks. I defy anyone to provide me with a reasoned argument about this behavior that _is_not_ based on your insecurity around selfishly securing your middle class position in society.
Stop reacting based on fear, and start behaving like reasonable adults. Most importantly act with civility and rationality before either a) creating a shit-storm and enticing others, or b) joining the heard’s shit-storm that has been started by others.
We can, and we must, behave more sensibly, lest it all implodes in on itself.
Please post this plea on other peoples walls and spread the word to stop the stupidity. They do some good work, and they deserve our help.
